Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert is the sequel to the book beloved by many; Eat, Pray, Love.

Liz and Felipe and have been doing their thing up until this point- and after two divorces between them- they don’t want to marry until they are stopped coming back from a trip and are told in no uncertain terms that if they want to stay together and Felipe to stay in the U.S., then they must marry.

So begins our journey while they wait for the decision-and marriage- all about marriage. As a twenty-something, I did find this quite interesting although any age would like it because in parts I laughed quite a bit.

The book is about conversations she has with her own mother and other mothers and her being an Aunt. The question of marriage then children comes up to which I found interesting. The way that marriage has evolved and changed over time was a fascinating chapter as well.

All in all, I would recommend it if you have read/watched Eat, Pray, Love.

Until next time,
