This has been long awaited I got to admit to checking my track and trace on this book every couple of hours. The point being- this book was so worth the wait.
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas is the third book about Feyre and company’s adventures and misadventures. Of course we left off with the big reveal about Rhys making Feyre his High Lady before she went off to the Spring Court with Tamlin and not to mention that small thing with her sisters.
So Feyre to say the least is treading on thin ice when she is with Tamlin and Lucien (who is brooding about Elain). She must keep up the facade of not hating Tamlin (hard, I know) all the while whittling away information for when she finally goes back and the war begins- easy right?
But of course shit just happens and she is back with Lucien in her beloved Valeris with Rhys (that’s a fun homecoming) and has to deal with a very fragile Elain and the unspoken thing (thanks Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) between Cassian and Nesta (hilarious as it ends up being) along with the you know, WAR.
So they plan, find beings and scheme to help them with this fight, one that is complicated and one that must bring ALL the courts together. They also must break the image they crafted of being ruthless for so long to sell their plans. It had me reading into the night while I reached the conclusion that has the twists and turns that not every author can master but Maas does so damn well.
It ain’t pretty and all 700 pages of twists and turns which makes it okay for the one year wait between books. I can’t wait for the next one and I certainly think they need to be adapted into movies or something because the series is just that good.
Until next time,
