Book: antigoddess

Author: Kendare Blake

For my first review, I am reviewing Kendare Blake’s book “antigoodess”.

It is the first book of her series; “The Goddess War” and is off to a great start. This book is great if you love Greek mythology as much as I do with the five main characters being Athena, Hermes, Cassandra, Aidan (Apollo) and later, Odysseus.

It does go back and forth between the first characters and the next two as they finally meet and finally, team up. Athena and Hermes need Cassandra to save their king but not without trouble coming from fellow gods. If you know anything about mythology, Cassandra was at the battle of Troy and is a prophetess but was cursed and no one believes her. So to sum it up, Athena needs to convince Aidan and Casandra to help them even though she was the cause of trouble back in the day.

Blake also brings back Circe and her coven, Aphrodite, Poseidon and many more characters in this book and it comes together nicely. It has the normal twists and turns added with a very dramatic ending.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series as in some scenes I could just see it happening and I totally could not put it down.

So there you have it, my first review.

Until next time!
